About

Coast & Cradle provides mobile Craniosacral Fascial Therapy (CFT) for children and families throughout North County San Diego. CFT is a gentle, hands-on form of bodywork that works with the craniosacral and fascial systems to address patterns of tension and restriction throughout the body.

Coast & Cradle was founded by Shelly Carpenter, OTR/L, a pediatric occupational therapist with over 11 years of experience and a trained Gillespie CFT practitioner. Her pediatric background brings a developmental and sensory-informed lens to each session, particularly when working with neurodivergent children and children with sensory, regulation, motor, or developmental needs.

Sessions are child-led and adaptable. Children do not need to lie still or follow a traditional treatment format; CFT can be incorporated while a child is sitting, moving, playing, or engaging with a parent as appropriate. Services are provided in the comfort of the family's home.
