What areas does Sprout & Soar serve?

+

-

Is Sprout & Soar free for families to use?

+

-

Yes! Families can browse the Sprout & Soar vendor directory, events, groups, and many of our online resources for free. Some workshops, consultations, digital resources, events, classes, or services offered through Sprout & Soar or independent providers may have their own fees.

Do I need to be enrolled in a charter school to use Sprout & Soar?

+

-

No. Sprout & Soar is for homeschool families using many different approaches, including public charter schools, private school satellite programs (PSPs), private school affidavits (PSAs), and families exploring their homeschool options.

What is the Vendor Directory?

+

-

The Vendor Directory is a place for families to discover businesses, educators, programs, tutors, enrichment providers, and other services that may be helpful to homeschool families. You can use the directory to explore providers based on factors such as location, category, age range, format, charter funding, and special-needs-friendly services.

Does Sprout & Soar personally vet or endorse every vendor?

+

-

A listing in the Sprout & Soar directory does not constitute an endorsement or guarantee of a business, provider, program, service, safety practices, qualifications, or availability. Families are encouraged to research providers independently, ask questions, verify credentials when applicable, and determine whether a provider is a good fit for their family before enrolling or purchasing services.

How can I list my business on Sprout & Soar?

+

-

Visit our List Your Business page and complete the vendor application. Basic listings are currently free. We review submissions before publishing them to make sure they are appropriate and relevant to the homeschool community.

Do you offer featured or promoted business listings?

+

-

We plan to offer additional opportunities for businesses that want increased visibility, including featured listings, enhanced profiles, sponsorships, and other promotional opportunities. More information will be available as Sprout & Soar grows.

Does Sprout & Soar accept charter funds?

+

-

Sprout & Soar itself does not determine whether a purchase or service qualifies for charter funding. Some businesses and programs listed in our directory may be approved vendors with individual charter schools. Look for charter funding information on the provider's listing and always confirm eligibility directly with your charter school before purchasing or enrolling. Charter school policies and approved vendors can change.

Can I find special-needs-friendly programs?

+

-

Yes! One of our goals is to make it easier for families to find programs and resources that may accommodate children with different learning, developmental, sensory, communication, or support needs. Look for the Special-Needs Friendly designation when browsing the directory. Because every child's needs are different, we recommend contacting the provider directly to discuss accommodations and determine whether the program is an appropriate fit for your child.

What is the Special Needs Provider Directory?

+

-

The Special Needs Provider Directory helps families find local professionals, businesses, and programs that support children and individuals with disabilities and developmental needs. Browse services such as speech, occupational and physical therapy, behavioral services, advocacy, respite, adaptive recreation, Regional Center services, medical equipment, and more. Families can filter providers by service type, location, ages served, service setting, Regional Center vendor status, telehealth availability, and more. We recommend contacting providers directly to confirm availability, qualifications, funding or insurance acceptance, and whether their services are a good fit for your family.

How do I submit an event?

+

-

If you know about a homeschool-friendly event, field trip, class, meetup, workshop, or community activity that would be helpful to local families, you can submit it through our Submit an Event form . Submissions are reviewed before being added to the calendar.

Does Sprout & Soar host all of the events listed on the website?

+

-

No. Our calendar may include both Sprout & Soar events and events hosted by independent businesses, organizations, homeschool groups, and community members. Please check the individual event listing to see who is hosting the event and contact the organizer directly with event-specific questions.
